Born and brought up in Catania at the feet of Etna. By the age of 17 Alessio is working during the nights and studying fine art at The Academy of Fine Arts where he practiced till the late '90. When 22, forced by the Italian social and cultural obscured conditions, moved to London. In the autumn of 2001 he entered the Central Saint Martin's College of Art and Design where he followed Art and Design studies with Media.
In the University years, following experimentation in film and image production, he developed a new angle within Fine Art and Media practice. These experimentations eventually triggered a new approach to image production that exploded in 2005 when he started practicing as Event and Documentary Photographer.
Now he works as freelance documentary and portrait Photographer while still practicing in Fine Art and cultural projects .
