Alternative Technologies Converted Barn B&B conveniently located in Paradise

My passion for sustainable, green and alternative technologies together with my passion for music took me to the Centre for Alternative Technologies in Machynlleth, Powys. Thanks to the travel photography work I undertake for Airbnb, I have access to the most wonderful locations and to the most amazing architectural wonders.  This is the case of Hafan Cerniog where Bee, a former career and teacher, and Rog, a self-taught green building expert, have converted an old barn into a beautiful home.

Their spare massive ensuite is used as a self-catered holiday let or B&B and is listed on Airbnb. Visitors can enjoy relaxing break from the city and learn arts and crafts, polymer clay, guided walks, wine making, drumming and percussion, rug making, decorative mirror, ceramic mosaic, meditation and trout fishing trough their great creative packages as listed on their website.

But the very best venue of their property is the creek with it’s crossing bridge and reading hut. When visiting and taking the pictures for Airbnb, I thought myself; I could spend here all day; Reading all those books I piled up trough the years.

Having access to a place like this closer to home will be the only chance I can sit down and start that PhD in education I thought to do in years.

If you want to see the rest of the pictures of the barn and its B&B rooms, look at Bee and Rog’s listing on Airbnb Converted Barn | B&B, Tranquil Holidays & Breaks. If you want more information about Roger, Bee and their story and packages, take a look at their website Hafan Cerniog.
